UNITY IN BIRDS AND ANIMALS.

Unity in Birds and Animals..

Birds, animals, lions, tigers, camels, elephants, all live

and move together in a group. This helps them to protect

themselves from any danger.

Take an example of elephants.  Elephants live and move in a group

of forty to fifty members.  The elephants in the herd depend on one another

for help in time of trouble.  The leader of their group is usually a wise

and clever and strong female. She moves at the head of the herd and is

followed by the rest of the group.  The other females and young ones are

seen in the center.  The bull-elephants travel last in the raw.  When there is

a danger, the bull elephants form a circle around the calf and weak females.

The members of the herd are loyal to one another. Suppose an elephant is injured,

two elephants walk on its either side as support for him to walk along. Some

get caught in a trap. Others try to pull him out.

They take special care of the baby elephants in their group. They help young ones

to stay afloat when the herd crosses a river.  They roam around together to find a

lost or wandered calf.  If a female elephant is about to give birth, the entire herd stops

at a particular place till things are normal.

We the human beings have to form our group of friends right from young age.

We should be loyal and helpful to each other in times of need.  We should

form a group of friends in our neighborhood that one and all come out of their houses

in times of need and danger.

United we stand.

Divided we fall.

The Martyrs-TRIO- LAL- BAL-PAL.

Lal,Bal and Pal.  The great Trio.

We remember the sacrifice of shaheed Bhagat Singh.

Lest we forget the sacrifice of Lal, Bal and Pal.

 l.Lala Lajpat Rai.

2.Bal Gangadhar Tilak.

3.Bipinchandra Pal.

LalBal and Pal are the great martyrs of the country after Bhagatsingh.

They advocated the Swadeshi movement.

On an average, one ship a day full of Indian opium, elephant tusks, skin of

Lion and tigers and antique items vintage wealth, icons idols were the main

Items of export  sent from India to England.

The English rulers in India  were engaged in sending all valuable items

of our country to England.

The ships after unloading Indian goods at London,  brought English fancy

goods for sale in India.  This consisted of cigarettes wine whiskey textile fabrics and

cosmetics articles.  The people had a craze for such items.

Lal Bal and Pal were the pioneers of boycott movement of English goods.

From 1905 they moved in the country to appeal to the people to boycott foreign goods.

They mobilized public opinion across the country to boycott English goods,

They advocated the use of Indian made goods.

They also mobilized public opinion again the partition of Bengal.

They were instrumental in giving voice to the independence movement.

When Ganghi ji returned from South Africa, in 1915, he was stunned and shocked

at a meeting for country’s independence at hanging garden, finding Zinnah and other

Leaders with whisky and champagne, dead drunk,  interested in eating and relaxing.

Gokhle and Bal came to the rescue of the Mahatma by commenting that these so called freedom fighters were dead entity and that Mahatma should take a tour of the country to find his own way.  Gandhi ji on his tour to Champaranya and Kheda made history.

Lala Lajpat Rai(1865-1928). The Punjab Kesari was an orator author publisher of many publications which inspired the people to fight for the country’s cause.

Bipin Chandra Pal (1858-1932) A  teacher, orator and a journalist who opposed the

Partition of Bengal as a colonial policy of Lord Curzon to crack down on the growing

influence of the people against British Raj.

Bal Gangadhar Tilak.(1856-1920) “Swaraj is my Birth-right and I shall have it.”

An extremist and a hard line policy believer had many difference of opinion with

Gopal Krishna Gokhle but was very effective to lead people towards self-rule.

HINDU RELIGION. THE PURANAS.

The Puranas.

The period of the Guptas saw the production of the first of the series traditionally 18 Puranas voluminous texts that treat in encyclopaedic manner the myths, legends, and genealogies of gods, heroes, and saints.

The usual list of the Puranas is as follows:

the Brahma-, Brahmanda-, Brahmavaivarta

MaIkandeya-, Bhavisya-, and Vamana-Puranas;

the Visnu-, Bhagavata-, Naradiya-, Garuda-, Padma-, and Varaha-Puranas;

and the Shiva-, Linga-, Skanda-, Agni- (or Vayu-), Matsya-, and Kurma-Puranas.

Many deal with the same or similar materials.

With the epics, with which they are closely linked in origin, the Puranas became the scriptures of the common people; they were available to everybody, including women and members of the lowest order of society, and were not, like the Vedas, restricted to initiated men of the three higher orders.

The origin of much of their contents may be non-Brahmanic, but they were accepted and adapted by the Brahmans, who thus brought new elements into their orthodox religion.

At first sight the discontinuity between Vedic and Puranic mythology appears to be so sharp that they might be considered as being of altogether different traditions.

Yet it soon becomes clear that they are in part continuous and that what appears to be discrepancy is merely a difference between the liturgical emphasis of the Vedas and the more eclectic genres of the epics and Puranas.

For example, the great god of the Rigveda is Indra, the god of war and monsoon, prototype of the warrior; but for the population as a whole he was more important as the rain god than the war god, and it is as such that he survives in early Puranic mythology.

Little is learned in the Veda of goddesses, yet they rose steadily in recognition in Puranic mythology.

Although in the Puranas some of the Vedic gods have an afterlife in which their importance is reduced, other gods, previously of less official significance, arise. The two principal gods of Puranic Hinduism are Vishnu and Shiva. Both are known in the Vedas, though they play only minor roles: Vishnu is the strider who, with his three strides, established the three worlds heaven, atmosphere, and Earth and thus is present in all three orders; and Rudra-Shiva is a mysterious god who must be propitiated.

Puranic literature documents the stages of the rise of the two gods as they eventually attract to themselves the identities of other popular gods and heroes:

Vishnu assumes the powers of those gods who protect the world and its order, Shiva the powers that are outside and beyond Vishnu's. To these two is often added Brahma, creator of the world and teacher of the gods.

Although still a cosmic figure, Brahma appears in the Puranas primarily to appease over-powerful sages and demons by granting them boons.

In the Puranic literature of AD 500 to 1000, sectarianism creeps into mythology, and one god is extolled above the others. Of prime interest are cosmology, myths of the great ascetics who in some respects eclipse the old gods, and myths of sacred places, usually rivers and fords, whose powers to reward the pilgrim are often cited and related to local legends.

SHIP BREAKING YARDS- SHIPBREAKING TURNED AN INDUSTRY.

SHIP BREAKING YARDS.

At the end of their sailing life, ships vessels and floating structures are sold as scrap

for their steel.

Greece is the place where auction of such ships takes place.

A ship for breaking is sold ordinarily between  two to five million US dollars.

The Principal purchasers are generally  ruling clan from Dubai.

They buy such ships for ship-breaking, making payment in US dollars.

Such ships are sent to ship-breaking yards-say Alang ship-breaking yard, Bombay, Sachana etc.

In India they have their  syndicate in New Delhi runs this business.

The Syndicate pays the Principal in kind by exporting equivalent valued

foodstuffs butter cheese, grains pulses-in short everything as indented by the Principal.

After fulfilling customs formalities ship-breaking takes place

in under-developed countries Bangladesh, Pakistan India China etc.

Such ship breaking activity turns our green good sea-beach into dirty graveyards.

Such ships brought for ship-breaking also contain hazardous materials like asbestos lead paint,

PCBs (polyclorinated biphenyls) in engine oils.

During the process of scrapping hazardous

poisonous gas is found released in the environment.

Every year about 700 such ship

are taken out of actual sea-faring and put into auction for scrapping.

About 300 such ships account for our share in ship-breaking

approximately. Such ships ordinarily

travel under flag of convenience available at cheap

rates from countries like Panama, Malta

Cyprus etc. Ship masters have the right to sail under any flag they choose.

Ships are registered in

such countries where rules are not strict.

Shipping companies and ship-owners remain incognitio-their origin

can not be traced. Everything is done by

petty contractors middlemen etc.

They make huge profits from selling such old ships but do not bear

the burden of undertaking a follow-up clean break-up of the ship.

Here they raise their hands.

The International Maritime Organization has issued clear cut

guidelines for follow up action till

completion of the breaking process by the sellers of such old

vessels. In our country, the Honorable

Apex Court of India rendered yeoman's service

by issuing guidelines on lines of the IMO plus

the Lordships have also issued directives that

prevents dumping of hazardous wastes in the country,

and the ship has also to be delivered with 'gas free for hot

works' certificate as per Indian Laws.

Their Lordships have stressed that the Basel Convention

was applicable to export of such ships to

our country as it amounts to one and the same thing

like export of hazardous materials to our country;

and that 'gas-free for hot work' should be mandatory

for the ship owner and that no ship be given

permission to beach unless such certificate is produced.

Any explosion irrespective of the certificate

should result in cancellation of the plot holder's license

and the Explosives Inspector prosecuted.

The Pollution Control Board has issued  instructions

to observe the said precautions. It has

also directed to remove asbestos and other hazardous

waste on board of the ship and store it

at a landfill in the hinterlands adjacent to the ship-breaking

yards. This directive is uncalled for

as it does not address the illegalities of import of such

hazardous wastes into the shipbreaking

yards. Many agencies have visited the shipbreaking

yards of Alang, Bombay to monitor environmental

pollution. Syndicates have very long hands and everything

has remained on paper.

There is complete ban on diamond polishing in the western

countries being hazardous to health.

They send all their diamonds for trimming polishing shining to

underdeveloped countries. There is

complete ban on manufacture of synthetic organic dyestuffs

being hazardous to the environment.

Such SODyes are manufactured in India.

They import it from India. Pollution Control Board and Courts

have issued innumerable guidelines but they are of no avail.

Time is now ripe for public awakening.

At a little distance from Alang, at Pipavav, the Japan Car

manufacturing company financed the Delhi

syndicate for establishing a modern ship breaking yard.

This ship-breaking yard is now ready but

it is delayed for want of last minute green signal from the

Government. As per arrangement, every year

Japan renders 200 vessels for scrapping.

These vessels would be scrapped at Pipavav. The cut steel

would go Japan for use in their automobile plants.

This arrangement was done during the Congress

regime between 1985 to 90.  Now that this party has

come to power, it will be shortly commissioned.

In short it is time now to enforce the directives issued

by the Honorable Supreme Court of India. In Japan

their Government have refused permission to establish

a ship-breaking yard in Japan sea-waters. India

welcomes everything. This state of affairs has to stop now.

YOU HAVE MAIL.

You Have Mail.

Life in the Fast Lane?

To survive in fast lane, you need skill and luck.  Life is a ladder. It begins with stages.

To reach in fast lane, you have to master expertise in maneuvering and staying in lane at steady speed alert like hawk with eyes in front of road; shifting from mirror to mirror and back to road; keeping right foot ready to step back from gas to brake in fraction of a second. You have to keep an alert mind, swift leg movement in harmony  like reflex action registering alarm, automatically lifting foot shifting towards brakes to save life.

You have to communicate with others your intentions before undertaking any maneuvering.  You have to anticipate such an act from others to avert an accidental mishap.

Proper management of time space and alertness will minimize risk of life.

Ignorance is no excuse.  Expect the unexpected. This principal applies in life.

Train Sixth sense.  This sixth sense is luck as we say it.  Hearing feeling and seeing have to be developed by constant lessons and practicing.

It is not a feeling to get by itself.     It is a must to survive. Make feeling a must.

99% of us have a feeling but they do not master it. Desiring is one feeling and having it is one reality.   You need luck.

Law of nature is Might is Right.

Man was a form of an ape long before walking on four legs crores of years ago when land on earth was one continent.

Due to earthquakes one land got divided into sub- continents with sea waters filling the gap in between. Millions of years ago continents got formed.

Strange it may seem, the Indians were the first to leave India to explore the world-view.

They traveled north up and up, upped Siberia.  From Siberia they crossed over the Bering strait and migrated to Alaska.

It was  in India that Civilizations began.  The four legged ape man stood on his two legs upright  and gazed at the large sea lying ahead making difficult to reach the other part of the divided continent. It was from India that the human race set out to conquer the world.

It is time now to pay a visit to our motherland that inspired all this. It will be a reminder that beauty has never forsaken this great land.

Do not forget it, for here is the world of your mind body and soul, a place where you will renew these three; where sky melts into sea, sea into sand, and sand of Goa beach melts in you.

Meet people on your terms.

When it is good, it is good; when it is bad, it is better. Don’t be dis-heartened.

It is fear itself that you have to fear of and nothing else.

You had enough of craze of hard currency. You have now known that it is futile.

Come back to motherland.

Forget the lanes.  Take u-turn-home. Prodigal has returned! Mother waits for you.

MOUNTAIN HIMALAYAS. KAILAS-MANSAROVAR PILGRIMAGE.

Kailas Man-Sarovara Yatra.

There are no mountains like the
Himalaya, for in them are Kailas
and Mansarovar. As the dew is
dried up by the morning Sun, so
are the sins of mankind dried up
by the sight of the Himalaya."

                        =Skanda Puran.

People have been visiting Kailas - Mansarovar for centuries. Almost all the major passes of Uttarakhand lead to Kailas-Mansarovar but we have to cross over through the Lipulekh pass.

Kailas - Mansarovar,is  525 miles from Delhi,    Many of  our myths are associated with this unusual mountain and lake. The Buddhists, the Jains and the Bonpas of Tibet too,  consider this place as abode of  Lord Shiva and Parvati  and  the lake  born  from  the  mind  of  Brahma to be a sacred place.

Therefore, it is not surprising that one often comes across Om  Mani  Padme  Hum, hail  to  the  Jewel of creation.

One  has  to  walk  32 miles to go around  the  Mount  Kailas  6675 mts.   which    is   also   known  as  the  centre of   the   universe   in  the   Hindu  Puranas and the  Buddhist   texts ,  Astpaad  in  Jain   texts  and  Yungdruk  Gu Tseg  nine storey  Swastika Mountain  in  Bonpa tradition.  Its highest point is   Polma-pass at 19000  feet  (4515 mtrs).  South  of   Mount Kailas are Rakastal (4515 m), Mansarovar (4530 m), and  further  south  the   peaks   of Gurla   Mandhata   (7683m).  The circumference of Mansarovar is  58 miles, its  depth  is 90 m and total area is 140 square miles.
The lake freezes in the winter  and    melt only   in   spring.  It   looks unbelievably    fascinating   on    moonlit    nights. The circumference  of   Rakastal ,  also   known  as Ravan Hrid, is 12 miles from the corner of which originates the Sutlej river.

To see the grandeur of a mountain one must keep one's distance to understand its form one must move around it, to experience its moods one must see it at sunrise and at sunset. But to truly know it, one must journey the mountain with a Master, an Enlightened Being.

Regarded as the spiritual centre of the universe, Mt. Kailash is revered by Hindus, Buddhists, Jains alike. For Hindus it is on top of this wondrous peak that Lord Shiva resides in an eternal state of meditation, creating the sustaining force that holds the universe together. Tibetans have aptly named this mighty rock as 'The Precious Jewel of The Snow". It is here that the great Tibetan mystic, saint, and poet Milerapa wrote a hundred thousand poems on Buddhism. For Jains, Mt. Kailash is the site where their first Tirthankara achieved enlightenment. For the ancient religion of Bon, it is where their founder descended from the heaven.
Legend according to Tibetan tradition has it, that whenever a certain number of realized beings gather in this location, Gautama Buddha physically manifests himself.

This pilgrimage offers the rare privilege to discover with us the beauty and sacredness of Mt. Kailash. Guided and enveloped by intense meditation process and satsang, the seeker can feel the explosive power of these sacred mountains and the saints who reside in them, thus unraveling the forces of life and our own ultimate potential.

Twelve miles away from Mt. Kailash lies Manasarovar, the most beautiful and sacred lake in the world. It is named by the Tibetans as The Unconquerable Lake' and sits at a height of 15015 ft, with a circumference of 56 miles. Being the highest source of fresh water in the world, this blue and emerald green lake is attributed with healing properties.

The path to Mt. Kailash and Lake Manasarovar takes the seeker through Tibet, where an array of temples and stupas, ancient architectures and colorful bazaars are explored and enjoyed.  You have to exchange Indian currency into Chinese Yuan (1 yuan =INR 8) Indian Currency of denomination 500 1000 is banned. Duration 28 days.

TRY FACE READING.

FACE READING-   AN ART OR A SCIENCE?

Face Reading is both.  It is an art and also a science.

You see a face and you can tell everything about him/her/it.

It needs  observation.  It needs study.  It needs practice.

It needs experience.  A doctor merely looks at the patient.

He can tell the illness of the patient.

Science of Face-Reading got developed in India .

The Philosopher Samudri was its founder.

By Face Reading you can tell  characteristic, profession,

attitude, efficiency, ability  of a particular person.

1.     A goldsmith, a Jeweler has certain visible physical

characteristics.  You can make out by his appearance.

He speaks certain catch-phrases. He talks in terms

of carat, purity, prices of gold and diamonds.

2.     Sportsman has certain body build, height and

physique.  He is always on the run.

3.     A lawyer can be spot without much effort.

He raises his hands, moves his body and

speak as if he addressed a gathering.  He uses

certain catch phrases relating to law.

4.     A leader or a political man is surrounded by

plain-clothed bodyguards and is always on a run.

5.     An actor, actress is always slow, publicity conscious,

crowd-attracting. The car stops at the studio-gate,

they come out of it quite late ready for cameras to

click on their arrival.

6.     A cop.  He is not in uniform. He has no gun.

He is not in a police-car. But you can make out.

His walk, steps, his words  are with authority.

He orders everyone around. He cites law in his

day- to-day life.

FOOD CROP. MILLET.

Food-Crop. The Millet.

The crop millet include species in several general kinds. The most widely cultivated species in order of worldwide production are:

Known as  Pearl Millet, that is Bajra, and as Kambu in Tamil.

Known as Foxtail Millet, Thinai in Tamil.

Common Millet, broom corn millet, hog millet or white millet.

Also known as Ragi or Mandwa, and as Kezhvaragu in Tamil

This term is applied to a variety of small seeds originally cultivated by the ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans and part of the human diet in China, Japan, and India.

In Western countries millet pearl seeds are used mainly for birdseed. The genus is termed Panicum. The small seed is normally about two mili-meter long and nearly two mili-meter broad. The term pearl millet is one of its several alternative names. Japanese barnyard millet is a well-known variety.

It has been an alternative of wheat for the rural Indian population and is quite rich in vitamins and minerals helpful for the growth of human body.
