LIVER.-a vital organ of our body.
Liver is the refinery in the human body.
It removes toxins from the blood, and converts the toxins
into
substances to be eliminated from the body. Liver produces
bile
which contains detergent like substance essential for
digestion.
The bile absorbs the dietary fat. Other Vitamins are also absorbed by the bile.
The Doctor prescribes drugs to treat human disease. Such a drug
is chemically
modified by the liver to treat the
disease.
Liver converts the food we eat into chemicals essential for
life.
Liver converts carbohydrate sugar which is finally converted
into glycogen.
It releases Sugar in between our meals, and mix in the blood
eventually keeping us energized.
It maintains body’s protein and nitrogen metabolism. The proteins are converted into amino
acids. Excess amino acid is converted to
urea for excretion in the urine.
Certain proteins are converted into ammonia by the bacteria
in the intestine. This ammonia must be
detoxified by the liver and converted into urea which is then excreted by the
kidneys.
Excess of protein also creates excess ammonia in the
blood. Therefore proteins must be
proportionate and should not elevate blood ammonia. The gall bladder stores the
bile produced by the liver. During digestion,
the gall bladder releases bile into small intestines through the duct. Gall
bladder disorder can be prevented by avoiding high fat and cholesterol prone
foods.
By maintaining a well-balanced diet and avoiding high
cholesterol food formation of gallstone can be prevented.
If you keep the lever healthy by moderate and balanced food
intake your chance of living life for a hundred years is guaranteed.
