You buy a bungalow you pay the regular tax on its value.

You buy a bungalow you pay property tax to the borough.

You consume electricity for the bungalow on that amount you pay tax.

You pay lawn mower to trim your lawn on that amount you pay tax.

You pay garbage man on that amount you pay tax.

In a multiple way you pay tax in respect of your bungalow.

Similarly you buy a car, you pay the regular tax on its value.

You pay for insurance charges on that amount you pay tax.

You pay for car-registration charges as tax every year.

You pay on your birth-day driving license renewal as tax.

You buy gas for your car on that amount you pay tax.

You pay tax on each and every item you buy.

Now you count how much amount of tax you pay.

Cascading effect.

I pay you a million.

You have to pay tax as it is your income.

You pay five parties 100 thousand each.  Each has to pay tax on it as it is his income.

Like that it is multiple Tax on the same amount.
