WISDOM COMES
FROM SUFFERING AND HARDSHIP.
In common
parlance, wisdom is judgment, insight, will, common-sense, rationality,
sapience sagacity, profundity, enlightenment, erudition, knowledge
intelligence, learning prudence, intuition.
Suffering is
agony, anguish, distress, misery, pain, grief, torment,
woe, heartache,
affliction, trial, ordeal, burden, torture,
injury, wound,
hurt, pain, ache, pang, stab, and sting.
With a plate of
coarse rice for eats,
With a jug of
water for drinks,
And my bended
arms as pillows,
I have joy in
the midst of sorrows.
“What is time
for supper?”
For Anil,
whenever he chooses.
For Arun,
whenever he can.
Poverty has
kept more homes together, than divided.
Wealth has
divided more houses than kept together.
Ambani’s houses
are new, prejudices are old.
One half of the
nation is ill-housed.
One half of our
people are ill-clad.
One half of our
people are ill-nourished.
So little done,
so much to do !
What crimes are
committed in the name of progress ?
What money is
collected in the name of religion?
What scams are operated in the name of prosperity ?
Oh ! my country, when and where will all this
end?
