Your Eyes sublime with Tears and Laughter,
Oh ! We loved Thy Eyes Glittering and Brighter.

Lovely you were like summer mornings,
Your eyes more bright than the stars
That twinkled in the winter’s night.

And the speech more pleasant than the sweet harmony,
With your looks, you could brighten the darkened sky,
And calm the toiling poor’s rage with a good bye.
