GOLD WILL HIT US $ 800, AN OUNCE.
It is History. The price of gold bullion in the year 1980, had surged to US $ 873 an ounce. It was the record highest in the last 25 years.
Some investors buy gold, in these days of inflation, to preserve their purchasing power. It is speculation. Gold price has surged to US $ 900 an ounce, these days which is its record highest.
It is reliably learnt from informed soures that Gold Bullion price is likely to hit the US $ 1000 mark, within the coming three months. Reliable news agency reports that gold bullion may rise to its highest level in the near future. At the beginning of the 21st century gold price was around 250$ an ounce, and it apppeared that it would remain steady for the time being. These hopes have ben belied for the present. The tendency of the investors is to buy Bullion as a safeguard against inflation. The public demand for purchase of jewelery is seen rising. The jewelers therefore have stocked up gold stock to meet with the rising demand. World gold prices may rise to US $ 1000 in the next coming months. It will boost its price from $ 900 as the hedge fund managers and other large speculators have increased their net long position in future by five percent.
"There is pressure to raise gold price to from all quarters including some last minute people jumping on the bandwagon" said New York Stock Exchange spokesperson. The world currencies are declining. The investors
therefore purchase more gold as a hedge against declining prices of world currencies. One important reason gold has gained is due to the fact that the bank rates have been increased on and on to stem inflation. Gold may still gain in future on speculation demand which may exceed the production from gold mining companies, all around the world.
Our country is in the danger of losing its position in the rank of gold producing countries of the world. Our gold finds, depleted resources in mining gold within the country are due to lack of exploration. The last decade was a decade of lost exploration. Unless new discoveries are made, reserves for gold under mining would be depleted at the end of this decade. This will mean closure of smelters and refineries and the havoc it will reap on our economy. To reverse this sorry state of affairs and catch-up internal gold production, it is necessary to form a cabinet rank ministry for gold. We have vast highly prospective geology much of which is still largely unexplored. However the need for increased exploration is not the only challenge that has threatened the gold mining process. The aging population and shortage of skilled workers are also worries and a problem.
It is reported that world's largest hoarders of gold are a few parties from India. The princely states are foremost among them.
It is learnt from reliable sources that pressure to auction 1000 tons of gold is mounting on the IMF. The UNO at the behest of Uncle Sam wants funds to help the third world nations for natural calamities. If this happens to be a reality, there is chance for fluctuations in the prices of gold. Economists hold different views on such an eventuality. Some believe that the gold prices would have no or at the most nominal effect of the auction of 1000
tons of gold. Some say that in the past, when such auctions were held by other nations, it gave rise to higher prices.

It is a crime to be a woman.
Chapter 9 INDIRECT TORTURING.
All bow to the Strong and Mighty.
All bow to the Wealthy. Wealth follows the Strong. It dwells in houses of the Mighty. Nothing is wrong for them. What they do is right. What they say is right. This is the crux of Life. In life Might is Right.
This is the Law of Nature. Big fish eat away the small fish.
Bigger fish eat away the big fish. Survival of the fittest is the philosophy of life. All want the shelter of the Strong and Mighty. In life nothing is for free. Eventually you pay for it.
Of all the things created by God, man is the worst being ever to be found on the earth. No good can come out of him. He is evil. He is impossible. Keep away from him. He has come late in the world. The earth, seas existed before him. Yet he passes judgment on everybody. He puts everyone down. Man is the root cause of all trouble. His ego his ambitions his cruelty to everything is unparallel. He is seen as his own enemy destroying the fruits of Nature on which his survival depends. He tries to prove his superiority over Nature. He tries to prove that man is the Master; he has tamed the Nature to a non-existent level. Nature has been trained and tamed and bridled as per man’s wish. In certain fields such pretensions have proved false.
Nature puts man in his proper place. Nature dwarfs the man.
Nature tames the man. Nature inspires awe.
Nature demands respect from man despite all his earthly achievements and scientific aid. Nature yields to man of courage. Nature likes man with skill. Nature punishes thoughtless reckless adventurers. Man wants to fill up the gaps by himself doing His work, which Nature has not provided. Nature kept blanks for a purpose. Who are we to fill in the blanks?
What Nature has not provided we should not attempt to achieve it? Always have faith in Nature. Nature did not provide them on a purpose. Man is blind to see His wish. Nature keeps a balance between the things.
Nature better knows what is good for us. Nature has made this world a sweet place for all of us. We have to coexist. Man is a selfish egoistic self-centered savage type of an animal. He is a jealous type of a fellow. To prove that he is not jealous he plays all sorts of tricks before the girl. All his arithmetic fails before her. She sees him transparent in his true colors. She is quiet and silent, as she is noble and gentle. A man is day dreaming if he thinks he cheats his girl.
She knows it all. It may be her helplessness or she pretends she does not know. She gives him a long rope. A girl is ten years wise in age in comparison to a boy of similar age. Man has always under estimated woman.
There is difference between behavior quality characteristics of men and women. Right from childhood a girl does calm cool quiet domestic life love. A boy is restless moving talking wandering here there and always out of the house.
A study of behavior of boys and girls indicates difference in their characteristics. At times it is hard to be a woman. Life of a woman is tough tight and thorough and fearful. Life of a man is smooth, free and fearless. Girls get together form a group and sit to work quietly and busy them in doing something or a particular thing assigned to them.
Boys are restless. They do not form a group and sit to work quietly and busy themselves in doing a particular thing assigned to them. The boys can not sit to their seats for a long time. They fidget and crave to run away.
They are restless tired of the work entrusted to them.
They get impatient tired of trying such silly work.
After a few minutes they fidget find excuses to run off for more important work like viewing the hockey match or some such thing or running around climbing the trees etc.
We talk big things of equality and equal rights to women in all fields and all that stuff. Courses have been prescribed for women to be competitive and combative like men.
Here lies the crux of the whole vanity of male dominated hypocrisy. Why females should take courses to be competitive and combative like males?
Courses have to be prescribed for men to be tolerant patient and loving like women.
Why there should not be courses prescribed for men to be like females? If girls are getting courses to encourage them to be more like men what courses are there for men to be like women? We have underestimated undervalued the female passive qualities. Passive resistance from females yields impossible achievements. The man comes falling at her feet. She gets what she demands. They can no longer be pushed around by male dominated society.
The womenfolk of the present generation has been alert aggressive arrogant combative and competitive to put men in their proper place to cut them all to size.
It is wrong to give importance to his money kind status size height color and what not. Similarly all women are alike. They have the same machinery. It is wrong to give importance to her money kind status size height color and what not. All cats are black in the dark. All men are monkeys in the dark. In case of men, three out of five suffer from erectile inability. In case of women, three out of five are shy to go to their men because of age-old obsessions and beliefs. Men and women live life of self-deprivation and quiet desperation. None speaks of it. They have to take help of voluntary agencies to solve their sex problems. This is the case for both the genders. It is all our imagination. Size of the breasts has nothing to do with love sentiments desire compassion and understanding. Some are frank to admit. Some die with their secrets. She likes to be credited to be glamorous and sexy. What goes with it is tremendous burden on her. We take a lot for granted. It is easy access. We expect an awful lot in exchange of very little. She becomes a thing and an object. It is all our imagination. We would be happier in the arms of the milkmaid than in the arms of a star or a celebrity. The stars are a piece of wood. They can’t love. They are a piece of decoration. A maidservant in the house will give you more joy than any other living woman. There is suspense. There is thrill. Forbidden fruits taste sweet. There is romance. There is mutual conspiracy, joy. The excitement is like waging a war. The suspense does it. There is joy of stealing. There is joy of doing the forbidden. There is joy of breaking the code. There is joy of doing something different than others. Stolen glances stolen kisses are titillating stimulating absorbing and everlasting.
There is joy of victory. There is suspense. There is joy of adventure. There is thrill. It is an experience. His blood gets hot at the idea of an adventure. Man will go to steal an unripe mango in a field at the risk of being caught and beaten. He will not care for a quality ripe mango lying in his house. It has no thrill in it. In stealing there is challenge. There is thrill. It is an expedition. There is fear of being caught. All his faculties are aroused challenged charged.
Man by nature is adventurous. He is a roving type of a fellow.
For girls also a little face to face, across the table talk is necessary. She does not have to spend hours after cosmetics for make up. The Chairperson used to herself interview the girls for the posts of airhostess. Her emphasis was on the girl’s mental caliber. The awareness to her identity and existence was important. She must be capable to tackle wildest of wild air passengers with ease and grace. She must be gifted with a charming personality. Air passengers take for granted liberty with airhostesses.
With purchase of an air-ticket they think they have purchased her also. The management is aware of the flirting behavior of male air travelers.
She has to be alerting tactful with flirters. She has to ease the situation by her smile without insulting offending the passenger. It is in the line of duty. She insisted for light makeup for an airhostess. She believed that the uniform the airhostess was wearing was incomplete unless she wore a smile on her face. A smile on her face is a part of her uniform. Positive attitude is an ornament. This is a challenging career for our women. It is a prerequisite to have above qualities in an airhostess. Clear sky above, holy earth beneath, you fly and fly like a bird amidst clouds with a layer of makeup on you. It is your get up that will wind you up in high quarters. The quest of beauty has been going on since birth of Adam and Eve. There are many fields. Color arena is one of them.
It helps to define personal image you reflect in choice of color. Your season type, your style type has to be identified. You may be January, April June September belonging to any one of the four seasons. You may be winter spring or summer autumn oriented.
You may be creative dramatic classic or natural. You may be a combination of any one or two or all of them. You have to discover this about you. There are agencies that do this for you to advice. Hair should be neither long nor too short. You must be able to handle your hair without inconvenience to your other duties. Your purse and your sandals reflect your standard of living. They must be most expensive and ideally in direct proportion to your size. You should not wear clothes in working hours, which may look like an evening dress. Cardigans should be avoided. Makeup should be light and easy. A smile on your face is an essential prerequisite. You have to remain a center of attraction. You must be totally unaware of it. It should be quite in a normal and natural way. You are very determined and meant to be a great personality. You should never feel discouraged. Your time is going to come. Do not lose patience. You have to know by now what colors are becoming on you.
In evenings you must be attired in colors which would emphasize your get up and your personality. Color reflects your personality. The right color will enhance your personality to new heights. Your face is your most important asset. Find out with what stuff it gets decorated.
Find out what stuff it does not suit. A thin eye brow pencil lines in the form of an arrow at the corners of the eyes would go well with some; with some it looks ridiculous.
You may look chic with eyeliner and a little bold lipstick on the lips. Sit before the mirror. You are your own beautician. You have not to depend on any one. You have to make your own decision. Color your eyebrow as per color of the hair. Darken your eyelashes to enhance their effect. Your complexion plays an important role in highlighting your personality. The base should be good to just polish it up.
Select the color scheme befitting the color of your skin. These accessories would revolutionize your outlook and make you self-confidant. You will be much sought after celebrity. The colors must be enjoyable. Take your own time. Study yourself in different colors. When you realize you have achieved the intended effect of all these precautions, You will feel by yourself what application tactics have changed you outright. You become a presentable lady glowing shining and lustrous. This is the time to reveal the damsel in you. This is the time to make a striking everlasting effect. This is the time to harvest what you had sown. It is a time consuming process. You have to bear it. You have to be updating this process with new and new ideas. Do not sit tight with one formula. Find other and others and so on and so forth. Cosmetics are to face what clothes are to your body. Cosmetics are supposed to be the clothing for your face. Going out without makeup on face is like going out without clothes on body. Therefore proper make up is a prerequisite for any program or function.
Perfumes. You have to have your own standard perfume. Perfume is your identity. Try all sorts of perfumes and select one, which should be a part of you. It must not be gaudy or too strong in smell. It must be light feminine. After wearing the perfume, it will mingle with odor of the body and reflect a new smell. It will be maddening captivating pleasing and everlasting. Selection of a perfume is an art. You have to muster this art. It needs time and care. Do not be hasty. Your perfume is your identity. The perfume is your symbol. You need to have self-confidence. You have to cultivate your self-confidence. You have to be a hard liner a hard bargainer without appearing so. You are not cheap. You are not easy to get. Keep your eyes half shut. You have not to look. They have to look. They do find you. They behave as if they did not find you. It is a game of wits. They have to look for you to get you. You are in your own world. You are unaware of everything. You are absorbed in yourself. You are dedicated to yourself. This is very important. Do not be surprised by anything. Do not be moved by anything. Do not be afraid of anything. Do not be shocked of anything. Nothing surprises you. Nothing shocks you. There should be no reaction on your part. Do not register any reaction on your face. Keep calm. Do not give your final opinion on any subject. You have seen enough. Silence is eloquent and golden. They are all shallow and hollow. They will try all sorts of joke mimicry overacting wild gestures to make their point. Do not be moved. Smile and forget. Wait for none. Another will come. For developing confidence you have to undergo meditation and yoga lessons. You have to have dancing lessons. Stage appearance will enhance your self-confidence. Traveling is the best thing to develop your self-confidence. You may be fragile thin but you must be made of steel. You have to be busy in your prayers. You have your own timetable. You adhere to your own schedule of activity. Refuse any offers. Refuse invitations. Better will follow if you would refuse. It is difficult to refuse. Refusal has to be your second nature. Then it will be easy. Do not be merciful. Do not think it will offend him and all that. Let it. You do not budge. You refuse. You resume your list of activities. Man is a jealous and whimsical type of an animal. He does not value anything easily obtained. It should be hard to get. It must be life and death to get you.
SO THIS TOO SHALL PASS.
Jimmy, the Prince of Paris, fell in love at first sight with Ginnie, the Princess of Poland. It so happened that Prince of Paris, Jimmy was invited to participate in a Polo match being played at Warsaw, Poland. It was the final match of the polo-match series being played there. There were eight Athletes riding horses. Both sides were eager to win the match. Each side was a team of four players. Jimmy led the first team. The atmosphere of the match was electric. Whole of Warsaw was charged with the mood of the game.
Exquisite tents were erected to accommodate the guests. Variety of food dishes and drinks was ordered to entertain the invitee-guests. The Polo-Club of Warsaw, made arrangements for spare-horses to ride in the event of a mishap or an accident. Ginnie, the Princess of Poland was the Chief Guest. Big dignitaries were also present. She was to present the Cup to the winner team. She was present at the stadium accompanied by her group of friends. All were clad in their evening dress. She was clad in a white full-length evening gown. The bodice was strapless held up by the bones and was draped over the bosom. She was the center head of the match. The Mayor made the opening statement. After that the game began. She was the center of attraction for every one present there. All eyes turned on her at short interval. She was used to it.
With participation of a few Princes, the outcome of the match was bound to be sensational. A colorful audience had gathered anxiously to watch the polo-match. There was excitement in the atmosphere. Something was bound to happen.
What ballet is to dance, what chess is to indoor games, polo is to outdoor sport. The Mayor sat at the right of Ginnie, and his wife on the other side of her.
Polo is one of the oldest sports. It is said it originated in Iran. It spread in one form or in some modified form according to local conditions and climate, to India China and Japan. The English Officers while serving in India were attracted to play polo games with the princes and kings and other dignitaries. They took the game with them on return to England. Thereby it got spread all over Europe, USA and Argentina. In Argentina, it is played on ponies. There the ponies have less height are speedy and very flexible ideal for polo game to run swiftly and stop and turn abruptly; easy to chase the ball and make an easy goal. Played with 4 players on each side riding on horses, with a race to score goal by hitting the ball in the goal-net, a hut designed specially on the end of the ground, players on horses play a life to death game, to score a goal. It is played in a 300 by 100 yards playground where the rider uses a stick, a long cane angled with a bat to hit the ball to make a goal. It is a game for the rich. It needs a fleet of ponies/horses duly trained and well-fed to be able to take the field strain. It is a dangerous and strenuous game. The polo-player has to live a much disciplined life. Polo is like a jealous mistress. It does not allow the polo-player to enjoy a family-life. It keeps him away from evening parties and public-functions. It demands his presence on the practice-ground early in the morning till ten a.m. till sun-heat is light. Similarly he has to practice in the evening from 4p.m. to eight or so and leaves him drained out of all energy.
The Prince of Paris, Jimmy fell madly in love at first sight of the Princess of Poland. After the match was over and trophy distributed to the winner’s team, He approached the Princess. He introduced himself with greater details. He was all butter and honey to please her. He took an appointment for tea with her. This was granted. Next day he invited her for a dinner. After long deliberation and getting his full background the Princess agreed at last. It was fixed at
eight o’ clock that evening. He got lucky. The Dinner went quite successful. Another meeting was arranged. Their meetings increased. She felt interested in him. Lunch dinner drive etc. were a routine. It ended as it should end in a happy end. Proposal was made. Proposal was accepted. Both were married in about a year. She needed to be loved. He loved her too much. She was an able rider. The prince took her to the polo ground for polo lessons. After the lessons they used to disappear in the woods. They used to make love on the horse-back. There was a fire-like passion of the two lovers on a horse back, the horse trotting at snail’s pace; the lovers engaged in a loose embrace, his lips brushing her cheek. It was a wonderful time for both of them. They used to kiss in various ways. After all a kiss is just a kiss. But the sentiment is forever. This did not happen in her case. Destiny meant something different.
He demanded nothing less. He wanted to own her. She was his creature at his disposal. He was bold in looks. He was timid in mind and the heart. He was a very possessive type of a nobleman. He believed her place belonged in the house. She was tied with an invisible string. She was allowed to roam in a limited area. It was tied around her neck with limited movements. She could spend as much money as she liked. She was not allowed to pick up her own wardrobe. She could not go anywhere. Her outside visits were
in the country with a band of his trusted spies. Marriage with the Prince had turned out to be a layer of ownership. She was endowed with all responsibility of the estate and the house. She had no life of her choice. Her activities were monitored at every step. Our Princess was not lucky. The Princess had not scored. Her man was timid coward. Her Husband was a jealous type of a fellow. They were misfits from the beginning. She had earlier noticed him as over possessive at some parties before marriage. She had attributed this fact as his intense love for her. Here she had failed. She never imagined that her life would be a jail of a house for all the times to come. He was overly guarded lest someone might see her. He was worried that someone might lure her and take her away from him. He was worried that lest the court officers might charm her and take her away. She had married a timid man. He had no confidence and courage. He had never deserved such an ornamental piece. He deployed female guards around her, the females posing as her company. In the heart of his heart the truth was the husband was jealous of her charm and beauty.
He suffered from fear that she might run away with someone better. He was over protective. There were no outings. There were no parties. There were no Polo Matches. There were no functions. He used her like an instrument to progeny. She had no freedom. She had no public life. She felt she was caged like a trapped bird. She was a prisoner in her own house. He was particular to avoid social functions and public parties. He was worried and afraid lest the King might see her. He was afraid lest the Court officers might seduce her. On the other hand she was totally devoted to her husband. The king or the Court officers did not impress her. She was attached to her husband. She was a one-man woman. She was innocent of his fears about her. He never understood her. She was in love with her man. To her the husband was everything. She was happy. She was a gay laughing normal average wife of a Landlord Prince. She was a center of attraction of all public functions. She was regarded as a property in his eyes. He could not appreciate her frank sporting nature. He was guarding her as a prized property. He did not let her free for a while even. Within months of their marriage, she reported to him what all newly weds report. That She was late. That She was pregnant. In the heart of his heart he rejoiced when he heard the news from her. He suggested that she should prepare to go to their country house. She will stay at their farmhouse with other members of his family. They would look after her at the farmhouse. She would spend her time now at their farmhouse. She should prepare herself accordingly. She would deliver the child and return to Paris after the process was over in about a year’s time. She did not realize his trick to keep her away from Paris from gazing eyes of Court Gentry. She underwent the usual period of confinement at the village farmhouse.
News came to him that he was blessed with a son. She returned to Paris after about a year and a half or so. Her beauty had an added charm. She was more liked by all and sundry. She was light buoyant smiling mixing dominating the show, wherever she happened to go. She was the center of attraction every where. Jealous husband could not see her happiness. Again within a few months of her stay in Paris, she reported as usual. That she was late. That she was pregnant. She returned to the village farmhouse.
The same routine and the same cycle of events were repeated. She returned to Paris after about a year and a half or so giving birth to a baby boy. Her beauty had the same added charm after her second delivery. She was the same light smiling laughing happy live personality. She was popular that all missed her. All had waited for her return.
Within a few months after her arrival she reported as always. That she was late. That she was pregnant. For the third time she went to the village farmhouse repeating the same cycle of events. She returned to Paris after about a year and half or so with a baby girl with her. She was the same laughing gay smiling center of attraction of every one.
The jealous husband could not bear her happiness. She was pregnant the fourth time. She went to the village farmhouse as usual. She gave birth to a baby girl this time. She returned to Paris after her fourth delivery. after about a year and she was more matured and beautiful than ever. She was charming and loved by all. She was the center of attraction of them all. The husband could not eat or sleep. He was jealous of her beauty.
He could not bear her happiness. He wanted her out of Paris out of the gazing eyes of the court officers and the society, out of the gazing eyes of the neighbors and every one.
The husband and her children owned her. She had turned out a walking property.
The birth of the children one by one had involved her in their ties of motherhood.
She was not free. She was tied up chained up by unseen strings of affection for all. She felt herself being used. She was not essentially herself. S he was transformed into a different identity. The Princess of Poland was long dead, now was seen a living creature producing children after children every alternate year like crop from the motherland. She was eighteen at the time of her marriage. The cycle of being pregnant went on repeating. She was thirty-six. Within last eighteen years she had given birth to seven children. She was a mother of four boys and three girls. After her seventh delivery she returned to Paris more vibrant and mature than ever before. She was a mature radiant personality. People were mad to see her. She was thirty six years of age now.
Most of her life was spent in the village farmhouse. She was now scared of all this. She had never a free life. She had never enjoyed outside life like any other women of other Lords. He had never allowed her freedom. She was reduced to an object as machinery for childbirth.
In the space of eighteen years, Ginnie had borne Jimmy four blonde freckle-faced sons and three gold-haired blue-eyed daughters. The house bulged with their books, playing things pets, bicycles toys and their clothes spread all over the place. On her arrival in Paris after giving birth to the seventh child, she arranged her own separate bedroom with her children. The husband felt happy to be with the wife after her return from the village farmhouse. He was surprised at the new sleeping arrangements. He did not mind. He was happy so long as she remained indoors. One day both happened to have an argument. She made a clean breast of all her grievances about her life in the village farmhouse and the mental agony she underwent on account of her secluded life a virtual imprisonment. She was annoyed disgusted with her man. She had turned bold beautiful fabulous and ferocious. She was in a mood to choke him alive. She thundered. "You never think about anybody but yourself."
It was at this point listening to her strange tone, he first came to realize that there was a chance, a possibility, that their marriage would end up on the rocks. She accused him of thinking about nobody but himself and it was true.
domesticity and motherhood had cost her precious life. Her evenings were packed with domestic queries from the sons and the daughters and fulfilling their desires.
She: "You pig! You have been after my blood from the day you brought me in Paris from my Palace in Warsaw."
He could gauge her anger. He blurted, to pacify her agitated mood.
Jimmy: "I have so much loved you that I did not want people see you."
She: "You never allowed me to live my life as other normal wives did."
Jimmy: "I have done everything to keep you happy."
She: "You burdened me with children after children." "You have never allowed me to enjoy Paris evenings."
Jimmy: "I am happy you have been a good mother."
She: "I have the eldest son of eighteen and the youngest of a few months old."
Jimmy: "You should be proud to be a mother of seven beautiful children."
Jimmy felt things were going out of control. He begged her to bear with him. He promised her that he would take her to the concert. When she had run out of words to complain, he asked her what she actually wanted. He wanted a compromise. He had recognized the danger signals of her desperation. She was out of limit. She continued.
She: "When I tell you the truth about the children, you will no longer remain proud as you are now.
She: "Out of all the children I gave birth after marriage, know that one of them is not your child."
She: "Find out which one is not yours."
She: "Six are yours. One is not. Find out."
She: "That is what you deserve."
She: "So you sow, so you reap."
Jimmy: "What do you say? I do not believe you."
She: "I have believed in God."
"You were after my blood since you married me on account of your jealous
nature."
She: "This too shall pass." I believed in Him.
She: "You have taken the best years of my life. I hate you."
Jimmy: "Pardon me. Do not be so cruel to me. I love you."
She: "Love? You pig! Do you know what love is! It is lust
you have."
She: "I will never pardon you. You ruined my life."
All the Seven children were very handsome and beautiful. They were all healthy live and full of charm and grace. The Four boys all of them were of royal blood. All were Princes. The eldest Prince was a good Polo Player. The girls were all extra ordinary looking and lovable. They were all very fond of their mother. The boys were healthy well-built and well-versed in different walks of life. The young ones were very charming and lovable. He did not take the news seriously for the first few days of her sensational disclosure.
In the inner heart he was shocked and stunned. He was aghast with horror. It looked as if Heavens had fallen on him. As time passed by he became engrossed in his own doubts. He never anticipated such a severe blow from her. He could not eat. He could not sleep. He left all outings. He was missed at the Court of the King of France. He had no interest in life. He was almost a mad man. He was hysterical and expressed wild outburst of temper and anger.
After about a month he was reduced to a half in health. His eyes had gone deep. He had no energy left in him. He was a moving skeleton. He used to hide himself in the house. He had become like a statue. He was quite dumbfounded not knowing what to do.
He was very fond of all his children. He was proud of them. He loved them all more than his life. All the while he was turning his gazed eyes on all of them. He was searching them all.
He wanted to distinguish them all from one another. He meticulously examined the behavior symptom style and characteristics of each of them. He used to carry the young last four children with them and sat gazing at them for hours together in a closed room. He could not spot any one of them different from the other. Then he got all his children assembled in the room. He went on observing each one of them individually and then meriting each one from the other. He was helpless. He found all of them same and his own. He was unable to find a child with different characteristics.
At the end of two months he had lost all personal balance. He was roaming here and there like a mad man. One day out of frustration he was about to hang himself in his room,
she made a grand entry at the right time.
She: "You pig! Do you know what suffering is? I have suffered like you for all the eighteen years I have married you." "You became ready to hang yourself in just two months?"
She wept and explained to him the agony and misery she had underwent in the past many years at his hands because of his jealous nature.
She: "Your agony and pain is nothing in comparison to what I have suffered."
She: "The slow poisoning and mental torture you have inflicted on me is a crime against humanity."
She also admonished him that he did not know her. He was married to her for long. He should have known her. He should have faith in her. Even if she told him something on spur of the moment out of anger and hatred towards him, he should have used his head. How could she be ever unfaithful to him? She could not be unfaithful. He was an idiot. How could he ever doubt her character? Ho could he in dream even feel that she had been unfaithful to him! The time knows how to heal. Let bygones be bygones. Forget about it. All the seven ones were his own. It was a fact that he was the father of them all. She teased him because she loved him and she was angry.
She was temporarily overcome with anger at him that she had revolted. He fell at her feet begging and asking he may be forgiven. The episode came to an end with a happy ending. The storm had passed. All felt so.
SO THIS TOO DID PASS.
DID IT REALLY PASS?
No. It remained in her. She was widely acclaimed for having forgiven and compromised with the Prince. She had been compelled to act like this for the sake of her children.
This did leave in her mind a stigma that she had been abandoned at his hands. She was used abused and tormented at his hands for all her life. He had been a merciless and a jealous husband. She did not show it. She kept this truth hidden in her self. It will go with her to the grave. Outwardly she was moving with charm vigor gay laughing and moving between them all. Her soul had died. She was doing it to retain her image in the minds of them all. In her inside all charm of living and enjoying and feeling life had withered on his account. She had come to know of the small mindedness of the males.
She was now a mature middle aged lady of thirty-six with responsibility of seven good children. Her role as a maiden was over which had never begun. She was now in the role of a mother living for the sake of her children and their welfare was of paramount importance to her. She had a family. She can not afford to be reckless. She was no longer
a maiden of eighteen. She had to compromise. She can not avenge the man. The children needed a Father. She can not love him. She can not leave him. She has to carry on the life as if nothing had happened to her. Too much knowledge is dangerous. She got absorbed in her children and spent her life for them at His Mercy. SO THIS WAS MADE TO PASS TO LIVE.

The Coming Days.
The service-tax is an alternate to excise duties. Government avails both.
2. It is also very heartening news to know that the FM has promised to redraft and simplify the
Service Tax Act. In fact, the levy of service-tax, in an underdeveloped country. like India, is an
unjust levy, if not impossible to implement. The Constitution writers had thought fit to levy it
after a period of fifty years, presuming that by that time the country would have satisfactorily
come out of the status of an under-developed country. This has not happened. So levy of
service-tax also should not happen. Anyway. The Government has left no field uncovered
in levying the taxes. TAXES ARE TEARS OF A BILLION PEOPLE. They are sacred.

4. Olympic Events and such world-gatherings prove useful, from the point of view of contacts,
general gossip, over and above the excitement of results of sports-events. At Beiging 2008

a world-power, has plunged into a global monetary-financial collapse, worse than any financial-
crisis we have ever witnessed. This will bring in world-wide rescession. Our country is facing similar
symptoms. Purchasing power of the people is dropping. Now is the time to strengthen the hands of the party in power. Forget all your ambitions. Forget all your differences. A time has come for all political parties to shelve their differences. Do not put bumps. Do not put road-blocks. Do not organise strikes.
Whatever the present ruling party is, give them a chance to do something. Our very existence is at a stake. India as a nation, today, stands at the thrasholds of breaking up- at its worst of the circumstances of its life of fifty-eight years. A sort of national calamity is in the offing. Emergency measures are required to combat it. United we stand, divided we fall.
5. The Government has to take measures - the country has to make a U-turn, we have to continue
to remain a great producer-nation; do not forget we have one billion mouths to feed. We were able
to push through the mechanisms of international, monetary-financial and free-trade system.
It is our ill luck, we are about to largely destroy our system of agriculture
and industry by natural calamities like monsoon failure, and strikes and boycots. The states have
to give up their regional interests and agree to link our main rivers for the sake of prosperity of the country.
Our achievements which had been the objects of envy of many a world-nations, are about to be lost in vain.
Some big-power is interested in magnifying our miseries, to prove that they were right in their forecasts about us- about their ill-spoken predictions about the fate of our country after Independence. According to them, we were not fit for Independence. They may be true in propagating that our farm-houses,industries our health system, our education system,
the basic economic infrastructures in all fields have been ruined and mismanaged. We have to make a collective effort for this.
We have to accept this stricture as a challenge. To some extent they are right. Nothing is impossible if we stand united.
Let us all give it a try.
6. The Government has to assert itself, the power of the State- to put, bankrupt private financial systems, all the PSUs, various Boards, into receivership, in order to re-organise the entire set-up. We have to set-up an Indian system of political-economy suitable to the needs of the country and not as per the guidelines laid down by the world-bank. The Air-India, Indian Air-lines, ONGC, Railways, Post & Telegraphs, Telephones, all state-owned-corporations, Boards, are bankrupt. Overheads are mounting. They are dead elephants. Accept this reality. It is painful. Restructure the entire set-up- small but compact. All co-operative banks have to be winded up. Formulate a powerful monitoring system. You should know everything. It is your-our money they have played with. Now never. No more. Put an end to all these cases of mis-appropriation of public money. They have to be accountable for their failure to protect public- money. Everyone in the line
of heirarchy is responsible in respect of all the above fields. They have to be dealt with firm-handedly. Put all these details in the newspapers. Let the people know them. This is a punishment. People shall boycot them as swindlers of peoples' money. Hand over this task to the Supreme Court and the High Courts. They can set-right the affairs of the country. That is only the solace left, that the Judiciary is there. Touchwood.

IMPORT-EXPORT.
IMPORT-EXPORT.
Geographically the Indian sub-continent is devoid of natural barriers, boundaries except
in the north by the great Himalayas and the Pamir. Elsewhere our lands are joined,
inter-connected with Nepal, Bhutan Bangladesh, China, Pakistan, etc. Our sea-shores are
watered in common by the Arabian sea, Bay of Bengal etc. with Ceylon Lakshdweep, Pakistan,
Bangladesh Burma etc.
Their inter-dependence is well demonstrated economically over years; import of one country
being in many instances the exportable products of the other. Above factors point to the
mutual advantage of close co-operation amongst these nations. A compulsion has now
come for each of the country to improve their relations with neighbouring countries and forget
the old animosity, differences in order to survive in the 21st Century. If we examines the pages
of history, the Aryavart was spread up to Gandhar (now Kandhar) Afghanistan, upto Burma,
Indonesia Java Sumatra and all those places. Gradually they were all divided for political
considerations.
In other parts of the world, in Europe, same type of situation prevailed. They have formed
the European Common Union. In the Western hemisphere, from the top of Alaska to the
tip of Argentina, a free trade agreement is in the offing between USA, Canada Mexico,
in all 34 nations, including Latin American States. In Asia-Pacific there exists a trade-
union of China Japan Taiwan Korea Australia New-Zeland etc.Let us eamine our import-exports.
Services-export of our country is 20% of our total exports. It is over and above the foillowing.
Our exports comprise of : Agriculture.= 20%
Gems and Jewelry= 20%
Cotton,yarns,Tex.fabrics
Apparel,ready made
Garments.= 20%
Cereals= 4%
Handicrafts= 4%
Ore and minerals= 4%
Leather goods= 4%
Marine products= 3%
Drugs,Pharaceuticals
and Chemicals= 2%
Dyes Coaltar chemicals= 2%
ElectronicGoods= 2%
Tea= 2%
Coffee= 2%
Crude&PetroleumPro.= 2%
Miscellaneous= 9%
Most of the exports are to European countries, USA Germany Belgium Russian
countries etc. Our Exports of wheat was 5 million tons last year. The exports of
baasmati rice was also 5 million tons. Still there is tremendous scope of our exports to
South America. At present our export goods percentage to South American countries
is meagre half percent. Now let us examine our imports.
In the field of imports we import crude oil about 80% of our requirements from various
countries. Edible oils, industrial machinery, spare-parts, raw materials for finished goods,
import of gold for jewelery and other items are in small quantity.
Some big countries do not want India in the race for captainship of Asia. All sorts of rumours
and ill-talks are spread highlighting inadequate infrastructire and inner factions of communities
etc.in India. We have to go ahead. We had come alone. We have to go ahead alone. Do not
care what other say.
There are some elements in the country who believe that a borderless confederation
would generate organised crime, to spread across our borders, and that our police and other
law enforcement agencies will not be able to cope up with problems arising out of it. Each
country has its own definition of crime. This will give birth to crimes, different procedures,
different systems of criminal justice, different forms of political accountability. As against this,
efficiency of police administration would increase, on account of wide range of sources of
information, available to them from member countries. As it is, hundred percent prevention
and repression of crime is hard to achieve. At best it can be minimised. For all this we
have to have a clean transparent police administration without interference from higher ups.
Air, Sea, and Land Transport is crucial for commercial economic cultural exchanges. This
sector accounts for ten percent of of our country's GDP, employing millions of people & assets,
engaged in transport business. All our neighbouring countries have to promote technological
innovation in transport sector including telematics application. In the matter of road transport
there are large number of individual truck owners unsupported by any sound organisation to
protect them from road safety. This needs to be looked into. Good roads are a must. International
highway system has to be adopted on lines of European countries for speedy and efficient
movement of cargo and passengers through out the confederation.
All this is fraught with risk and problems. But a way has to be made. If there is a will, there is a way.
Our neighbours have also realised that mutual import-exports, status of favoured nation is necessary to survive in the 21st century. We hope the new Government gives it, a try atleast. Some countries do not want India to lead. All sorts of misnomers are spread of two faces of India, the real poverty, lack of education and lack of natural resources and infrastructure are prominent among them. The world-Newsreports forecast that there will be chaos for ten years. No strong government would come to power.
There is no master to guard the treasures of India. There is no one who can say 'No' or stop them.
Sky is the limit. Almighty may save us by some miracle.
The President and the Judiciary will have a tough time to bear the brunt of everything. The Constitution has tied-up their hands. In such a situation the Auditor & Comptroller General, intelligence units, law-enforement agencies, media, public can be their hands.Let us hope for the best. This too, shall pass.

Ship-Breaking and pollution.
SHIP BREAKING YARDS.
At the end of their sailing life, ships vessels and floating structures are sold as scrap
for their steel.
Greece is the place where auction of such ships takes place.
A ship for breaking is sold ordinarily between two to five million US dollars.
The Principal purchaser are generally shaikhs in Dubai.
They buy such ships for ship-breaking, making payment in US dollars.
Such ships are sent to ship-breaking yards-say Alang ship-breaking yard, Bombay, Sachana etc. In India they have their syndicate in New Delhi runs this business.
The Syndicate pays the Principal in kind by exporting equivalent valued foodstuffs butter cheese, grains pulses-in short everything as indented by the Principal.
After fulfilling customs formalities ship-breaking takes place
in under-developed countries Bangladesh, Pakistan India China etc.
Such ship breaking activity turns our green good sea-beach into dirty graveyards.
Such ships brought for ship-breaking also contain hazardous materials like asbestos lead paint,PCBs (polyclorinated biphenyls) in engine oils.
During the process of scrapping hazardous
poisonous gas is found released in the environment.
Every year about 700 such ship
are taken out of actual sea-faring and put into auction for scrapping.
About 300 such ships account for our share in ship-breaking
approximately. Such ships ordinarily
travel under flag of convenience available at cheap
rates from countries like Panama, Malta
Cyprus etc. Ship masters have the right to sail under any flag they choose.
Ships are registered in
such countries where rules are not strict.
Shipping companies and ship-owners remain incognitio-their origin
can not be traced. Everything is done by
petty contractors middlemen etc.
They make huge profits from selling such old ships but do not bear
the burden of undertaking a follow-up clean break-up of the ship. Here they raise their hands.
The International Maritime Organization has issued clear cut
guidelines for follow up action till
completion of the breaking process by the sellers of such old
vessels. In our country, the Hon'ble
Apex Court of India rendered yeoman's service
by issuing guidelines on lines of the IMO plus
the Lordships have also issued directives that
prevents dumping of hazardous wastes in the country,
and the ship has also to be delivered with 'gas free for hot
works' certificate as per Indian Laws.
Their Lordships have stressed that the Basel Convention
was applicable to export of such ships to
our country as it amounts to one and the same thing
like export of hazardous materials to our country;
and that 'gas-free for hot work' should be made compulsary
for the ship owner and that no ship be given
permission to beach unless such certificate is produced.
Any explosion irrespective of the certificate
should result in cancellation of the plot holder's licence
and the Explosives Inspector prosecuted.
The Pollution Control Board has issued instructions
to observe the said precautions. It has
also directed to remove asbestos and other hazardous
waste on board of the ship and store it
at a landfill in the hinterlands adjacent to the ship-breaking
yards. This directive is uncalled for
as it does not address the illegalities of import of such
hazardous wastes into the shipbreaking
yards. Many agencies have visited the shipbreaking
yards of Alang, Bombay to monitor environmental
pollution. Syndicates have very long hands and everything
has remained on paper.
There is complete ban on diamond polishing in the western
countries being hazardous to health.
They send all their diamonds for trimming polishing shining to
underdeveloped countries. There is
complete ban on manufacture of synthetic organic dyestuffs
being hazardous to the environment.
Such SODyes are manufactured in India.
They import it from India. Pollution Control Board and Courts
have issued innumerable guidelines but they are of no avail.
Time is now ripe for public awakening.
At a little distance from Alang, at Pipavav, the Japan Car
manufacturing company financed the Delhi
syndicate for establishing a modern ship breaking yard.
This ship-breaking yard is now ready but
it is delayed for want of last minute green signal from the
Government. As per arrangement, every year
Japan renders 200 vessels for scrapping.
These vessels would be scrapped at Pipavav. The cut steel
would go Japan for use in their automobile plants.
This arrangement was done during the Congress
regime between 1985 to 90. Now that this party has
come to power, it will be shortly commissioned.
In short it is time now to enforce the directives issued
by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. In Japan
their Government have refused permission to establish
a ship-breaking yard in Japan sea-waters. India
welcomes everything. This state of affairs has to stop now.

Politics of Oil-Prices
Politics of oil-prices. = A.J.Raval. Advocate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"People get the Government, they deserve." = Winston Churchill in 1946.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One barrel of crude-oil weighs 42 gallons(140 Kgs) of crude oil. Recovery of petrol is about
21 gallons( 69.lts) in a barrel of crude-oil. There are other bye-products like napthelene,
bitumen tar asphalt. They are taken into other usage. Nothing is lost except evaporation-loss.
Prosperity and Progress of China is today due to its domestic finds of crude oil in China.
China has turned out to be an important oil producing country in the world market. Russia
had lagged behind in its oil production after l992. The soaring oil prices has helped it to old high
standard in Russia from 1998 and onwards. Olden days of prosperity have returned in Russia.
It is only, unfortunate, unlucky, India, that does not see golden days of its glory. History will
never pardon the present day lot for mismanagement.
It is no idle threat. The price of one barrel of crude oil will hit US $ 130 by the end of year 2008.
The present price of $ 100 a barrel is felt awesome by many. This is the beginning. More is yet to come. The UNO and its Secretary Mr. Moon has to take initiative to boycot oil producing countries. Here lies the test of diplomacy. Is there no way out to snub their nose?

Ginnie turns a woman.
People said many things about him.
No one could say that he was not handsome.
He was tall slender and graceful.
He had a sort of an animal type of grace that attracted
the ladies despite their unwillingness to involve in any relationship. He had a seductive youthfulness. He was a flatterer. He had the inborn quality to make out tales after tales
which the ladies liked to hear him narrate again and again.
He often wondered how people swollowed all his crap, and how he managed to escape himself unchallenged. He simply had no idea. It was luck or his instinct to make the right acquaintance at the right time, and make exit at the right time. His gestures were
calculated with mathematical precision and his every smile wink handshake were well rehearsed. He had the neck to find out the families who would be useful.
She felt deep pity for him.
She saw him as a helpless captive in the hands of the church.
She also felt something else. She could not explain. It was an impulse but she experienced a physical need to touch him. This urge was so strong that when she spoke to him,
she pat him on his hand or put her hand on his thigh etc. Such innocent gestures very deeply kept him disturbed.
Something really tangible happened one day. He had finished his routine work and was about to retire to his place. She crossed the path and stood invitingly mocking.
She was absorbed in her game but at ease as she had seen him completing his outdoor job and returning on break for rest and lunch. She laid her hand on his shoulder dragging him near
as if she intended to reveal a secret. He attentively listened. Both with their hands entangled departed towards his room on the top of the mansion. His hand came to rest on her shoulder.
It moved down her back. She felt it went still deeper. She had a jittering of her body unknown to her. It came with an intensity which she never knew it was possible. It had lasted about a minute. It was total.
It was so full and all-encompassing that it had an effect of an explosion she felt for all the time.
She had lived and of all the years yet to be lived.
Now she was certain God existed. Now she could die without regret.

In the field of white-collar crimes, they have no real names.
They are known as Bhai, Kaka, Boss, Don,ChaCha, Munna, Pundit,Munim.
Before setting out on a mission, they also check the auspicious time, pray etc.,
They know they are destined to be caught one day. They also know the end is always tragic.
Silence is golden. Silence is eloquent. They follow this dictum well.
In this trade, it is seen that all arrangement is done with farsightedness,
premeditated planning efficiency and secrecy. Every individual involved-
right from the carriers drivers middle-men- they are all well-trained. They
are tutored to remain dumb, silent when caught. They do not utter a word. It is impossible to
penetrate into their silence. They do not break the vow, an oath they have been
administered to reveal nothing if caught. Perhaps they know the last smallest person. They may
not know who is the main boss. They only know Bhai is all-powerful. His hands are long.
The silence protects the identity of the main characters involved, their lieutenants, the brains
behind it, the lawyers, etc. It is an organisation. Any number of consignments may be seized.
The Bhai remains dis-assosiated. This dis-connection saves them. The officers do not get a handle-
any lead, to proceed further. The trouble is that if any high-handedness is done to get the lead,
there are elements, agencies media, Human Rights, who are very much aware; they are very much
conscious, they are very much concerned about civil-rights of the smugglers, than the interest
of the Government. What to do? They make a hue and cry against the Government.
It is helpful to fill the place with plainclothes officers, give them the mandate to
mix with the masses and collect intelligence. There are certain groups. They are
specialised in landing, transporting, storing, disposing such goods. Bust them.
Confiscate their pagers, their cell-phones,search them properly for evidence.
Give information to the press media with their names nature of things and other
details. This will scare them. They are afraid of being exposed in public. They are among us.
The public has also to co-operate. They have to be realist. Government works
for them. The public need to be told plainly. To cite an instance.
In Bombay all rejoiced. It was the twentyfourth Independence day.
He was YashwantRao Chavan. On 26th June, he had taken over as the Finance Minister.
The year was 1970. In Bombay one woman asked him at a Choppattey gathering.
"Will you bring down prices?" "Things are very dear-costly."
He replied in Marathi, meaning like this. "'Tai, I am no magician. Do
not dream. We can never bring back, buy things at old prices. Prices
are bound to go high every day." FM had anger at the tip of his nose.
We need plain speaking leaders who talk to the people in their
language. Laloo will be more effective in convincing the People
than the Harvard lot, who sell dreams. They cannot hypnotise the masses.
The people are poor. They are masses. China faces the same problem.
How to educate the masses? In China films are made, depicting green trees
coming as ghosts, chasing people who cut green trees. Anyone who saw this film
would never cut the green trees. Our film makers have no other subject except
hero-heroines running around the green trees, singing songs.
Public Institutions have withered. Alone Government cannot do everything.
All have to come forward. All have to contribute in the direction of Nation-
building. Where is that spirit of pre-independence era? Where are all those
slogan-shouting people? Where are all those lady social workers who moved
in the streets with Tri-Ranga in their hands and shouting at the top of their voice?
Where is that atmosphere of "Doing -or- Dying" for the Country? India is slipping.
Dreams were sold to the People of India. Ten Five Year Plans are formulated.
People were shown Moon in their palm. What is the outcome of all that money, that
People paid as taxes -invested, in the name of future prosperity? - to see, experience
the present day Chaos? Whom we have to hold accountable? We. Ourselves. None-else.
We believed in them. We are responsible. AlMighty may save us. AlMighty Does Good.

GOLD IS OLD.
Gold is old. by: A.J.Raval.

30 Crores in the 1st Century.AD.
50 Crores in the 1650 AD.
600 Crores in the 2000 AD.
2. After UncleSam, China will rule the World. Alpha to Omega.

And little in the direction of Nation-building.
4. " Money is not everything in life."
You cannot make this statement without it.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gold (element symbol Au), atomic weight 197, valency 1.3 is one of the
heaviest metals; yet it is soft and ductible. An ounce (28 gms.) of gold
can make 187 sq.ft (17 sq.mt.) of thin gold leaf. It is durable and indestructible.
It does not tarnish or corrode. Examples of gold workmanship is seen
in Italy, Velenza jewelery for its antique fashioned ornaments of kind
and purity. Indian craftsmanship is famous. Indian jewelery has no
authenticity in terms of purity of gold. Therefore UAE has rehabilitated
Indian goldsmiths in Dubai Abudabhi Sarjah and gold jewellery is prepared
under strict supervision. Dubai has turned these days a centre of purchase
of gold jewelery.
Half of the world stock of gold is originated from South Africa.
Rest is divided among Russia Canada Australia Brazil and USA.
In Europe in the forteenth century, it was believed that in India gold
was as cheap as pig iron. Emeralds rubies diamonds jewels gems
sapphire were as plentiful as pebbles on a sea-shore. Gold Gates
were seen in almost all temples and places of worship. This belief
led the European explorers of Spain France Dutch England to find
out the route to reach India. Many explorations took place in different
directions. Columbus reached Bahama and then found present America.
Vasco-de-Gama finally reached Calicut and the English landed at Surat.
Aluvial gold refers to gold found in riverbeds streambeds and flood-plains.
In the river-bed of Congo river in Africa the river sand contains granules of
gold. Strict security is observed over the staff engaged in sand processing.
It is reported that workers bring such sand in match box in their pockets.
The security staff has also learnt to bring a match box filled with river sand.
Such match boxes are given to the Innkeeper in exchange of a heavy lunch.
Native gold is found in form of nuggets as large as half an inch in diameter
and on some occasions nuggets of native gold upto 50 kgs. are found. The
record is of 92 kgs. of largest nugget found in South Africa. Native gold
also contains some portion of silver.
Gold is evaluated in terms of a medium, a measure, a standard, a store
by the world countries. A country is known by the stock of gold lying in
its strong-rooms. It is a colletaral in terms of international trade. As per the
IMF reports France possess largest stock of gold as foreign reserves. Then
comes Germany. It is followed by Italy, USA UK Canada Russia and Japan.
In the list of G-8 countries Japan has lowest gold and natural resources.
There is International Gold Standard of Payment and Exchange. If demand for
Euro currency exceeds the demand for dollar currency, for the Euro, dollar
price will rise in international market. The US $ is defined as 23.22
grains of pure gold. The British pound is defined as 113 grains of pure gold.
Thus one British pound would equal 4.9 US $ at official parity. The public is not
authorised to exchange dollars for gold. Only foreign Central Banks can do so.
Two-tier gold system is adopted by world countries to protect international
monetary reserves from the pressure of high gold prices. The monetary gold
used as reserve would sell at a fixed price, and gold kept as selling commodity
would sell at fluctuating market price. The official Gold stock of a country has
to be maintained at the existing level; only to be transferred among countries
as pledge in settling international debts. India transferred huge quantity of gold
to London and Switzerland Banks in 1991 as pledge to settle debt of crude oil import.
Advantages of the gold standard are that it prohibits the countries to cause
price inflation by excessive issue of paper currency. It also creates certainty
in international trade by providing a fixed pattern of exchange rates.
It will be interesting to note that Tokyo Exchange of Japan as of today accounts
for ninety percent of security transactions. As the economic growth of Japan has
continued, Tokyo Stock Exchange became world's largest Security Exchange
overtaking the NewYork Exchange.
Similarly Gold Bullion Market, once World's largest is now operated by the
Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange at HongKong. There are no Foreign Exchange
controls rules and regulations of currency exchange in HongKong. As of
today in China and in China influenced countries, silver has remained the
dominant standard. Elsewhere in the world, the gold standard reigns.

THIS IS LIFE.
MAN SERVES HIS USEFULNESS UP TO AN AGE.
MAN FEELS HIS USELESSNESS AFTER AN AGE.
THEN THE QUESTION ARISES ABOUT QUITTING.
HOW TO QUIT IS THE PROBLEM OF THE DAY.
NOBODY WANTS AN AGED MAN AROUND.
NOBODY WANTS TO HEAR WHAT YOU SAY.
NOBODY WANTS TO DO WHAT YOU SAY.
ALL WANT TO DO WHAT THEY PLEASE.
NOBODY LIKES AN AGED MAN AROUND.
YOUR PRESENCE UNNERVES THEM.
YOUR PRESENCE IRRITATES THEM.
THERE ARE SOME WAYS YOU CAN QUIT.
YOU MAY RENOUNCE THE WORLD.
YOU MAY LIVE A SECLUDED LIFE.
YOUR HEALTH IS NOT IN YOUR SAY.
YOUR MIND IS ALSO NOT IN YOUR SAY.
YOUR BODY PARTS ARE WITHERING.
YOUR BODY MACHINERY IS FADING.
THERE IS NO STRENGTH LEFT IN YOU.
THERE IS NO WILL TO LIVE LEFT IN YOU.

Life in the Fast Lane?
To survive in fast lane, you need skill and luck. Life is a ladder. It begins with stages.
To reach in fast lane, you have to master expertise in maneuvering and staying in lane at steady speed alert like hawk with eyes in front of road; shifting from mirror to mirror and back to road; keeping right foot ready to step back from gas to brake in fraction of a second.
You have to keep an alert mind, swift leg movement in harmony like reflex action registering
alarm, automatically lifting foot shifting towards brakes to save life.
You have to communicate with others your intentions before undertaking any maneuvering. You have to anticipate such an act from others to avert an accidental mishap.
Proper management of time space and alertness will minimize risk of life.
Ignorance is no excuse. Expect the unexpected. This principal applies in life.
Train Sixth sense. This sixth sense is luck as we say it. Hearing feeling and seeing have to be developed by constant lessons and practicing.
It is not a feeling to get by itself. It is a must to survive. Make feeling a must.
99% of us have a feeling but they do not master it. Desiring is one feeling and having it is one reality. You need luck.
Law of nature is Might is Right.
Man was a form of an ape long before walking on four legs crores of years ago when land on earth was one continent.
Due to earthquakes one land got divided into sub- continents with sea waters filling the gap in between. Crores of years ago continents got formed.
Strange it may seem, the Indians were the first to leave India to explore the world-view.
They traveled north up and up, upped Siberia. From Siberia they crossed over the Bering strait and migrated to Alaska.
It was in India that Civilizations began. The four legged apeman stood on his two legs upright and gazed at the large sea lying ahead making difficult to reach the other part of the divided continent. It was from India that the human race set out to conquer the world.
It is time now to pay a visit to our motherland that inspired all this. It will be a reminder that beauty has never forsaken this great land.
Do not forget it, for here is the world of your mind body and soul, a place where you will renew these three; where sky melts into sea, sea into sand, and sand of Goa beach melts in you.
Meet people on your terms.
When it is good, it is good; when it is bad, it is better. Don’t be dis-heartened.
It is fear itself that you have tofear of and nothing else.
You had enough of craze of hard currency. You have now known that it is futile.
Come back to motherland.
Forget the lanes and take u-turn-home. Prodigal has returned! Mother waits for you.

GAS PRICES.
CRUDE OIL PRICES-and its impact on our country.
Mind you, this is no idle threat. World reports indicate that the price of a one barrel of crude oil will
remain One-Hundred US $. Gasoline is sold in USA To-day at 4$ a gallon, -ordinery quality, and premium gasoline costs 4.5 $ a gallon for sophisticated cars. This means, within the last 2 years we will be paying double the rates of petroleum products. This is an almost certainty. We are heading towards that. Nothing can stop it. It is all planned.
We will have to pay the price of one litre of petrol at Rs.100 a litre by the end of the year 2008.The trouble in the duty structure for customs duty, excise duty, state sales tax, and octoi tax, they are all having advalorem rates of duty at which customs-excise-state sales tax and the octroi duty are levied. Even the refinery charges, its commission is at l0% advalorem. The petrol dealers charge petrol commission at 5% advalorem. The Government will have to revert back to specific rates of duty say, Rs.1000/- per Metric Ton as import duty. One barrel of crude-oil contains 220 gallons of crude-oil which when converted into liters would be approoximately 650 litres that is Rs. 650/- for a barrel of crude oil. It will also bear a charge of Rs.50 a ton under the National Calamity fund. i.e. Rs.32.50 per one barrel of crude oil of 650 litres.
At present there is an import duty of 5% adv.plus an additional duty of Rs.2. per metric Ton. on Motor spirit and HS diesel. This will have to be converted into a outright specific rate of duty.
Now let us go to the structure of Central Excise duty that is being charged on the finished goods. i.e. after the imported crude oil is refined in the refinery and final products, petrol, motor spirit, high speed diesel, etc. that are produced as per requirements. Under the 2005 budget, central excise duty on petrol is reduced from 23% adv to 8%adv. plus a specific rate of duty of Rs.5/-per litre is introduced in the 2005 budget. The existing duty on diesel at 8%adv is restructured at 8%adv plus a specific rate of duty of Rs.1.25 per litre. An attempt has been made to introduce specific rate of duty plus advalorem rate of duty in prices of crude oil and finished products. Gradually Government shall have to revert to specific rates of duty so that the cascading effect could be avoided. Even then The Government will have a sizable steady income from petroleum products.
World countries have already realised that days of running cars with petrol are going to be over within the next couple of years. IceLand has completely accepted hydrogen operated cars in IceLand. Battery operated cars are also used. All world countries have made their arrangements in the event such a calamity of non-availability of petrol would arise. Toyota car has put in market its new model with battery operated machinery in the car plus it can revert to petrol-use in the event the battery got run-down after about 300 miles on way. The driver can start then regular petrol supply and can reach the battery charging station for a replacement. There will be plenty and easily available many battery supply centres located on highways like existing gas-stations, or say near around the gas stations.
We have made gas-cylinders as an alternate for petrol cars. There is a dual system so arranged in the car that when the gas in the cylinder get used-up, and the car sputters for short supply of fuel, the driver can conveniently switch over to the petrol supply. This contrivence is in very preliminery stage and it is reported that much innovation is required to be done in this direction. Necessity is the Mother of Invention. South America has increased ethenol percentages to bring down percentage consumption of petrol. Every country is engaged in doing something. Let us hope a way is found out. Earlier the better.
Man and Machine.
----------------------------------------COMPUTER DESCRIBES THE PIANO.
Following is recent dialogue between Piano and Machine.
The COMPUTER:- A Piano is an apparatus, It is a machine. It produces various sounds.
THE MAESTRO:- Oh! What a pity! What a tregedy! A Piano is an instrument that produces sounds of gradual pitch depth and tone. The Piano-players were world-known celebrities. There are quality pianos used by celebrities. The world knew they never played except before a vast audience. They received astronomical sums for such concerts in advance. The pianos were concert-size grand and majestic. Some are known as PLEYEL, RIPPEN, BENTLEY, GAVEAU, SCHIMMEL, ERARD, SCHINDLER, BECHSTEIN. The best is the BECHSTEIN.
It can be played singly or by a group. It is an art. The computer does not know art. Art moves men. You are a machine and compute information. That's all.
THE COMPUTER:- A Piano is a set of wires of different thickness struck by felt covered hammers working by manually operated levers arranged horizentally.
THE MAESTRO:- What a fall my countrymen! What an insult of world's finest Art? It is a cold-blooded description of men's nobler works. The Computer makes world celebrities in the field of playing the Piano, mere laboratory technicians.
The Maestro, his fingers gliding and weaving the ivory bars, drew back from the keys and thread of melody melted into silence. The hands fluttered over the keys. At its sound, it looked as if everythingelse had stopped as the strains of the great Waltz in G-flat Major rose and and blended in the faint murmur of the hall.
THE MAESTRO to COMPUTER:- How was that? It is called music. It rings like merry bells in our ears.
THE COMPUTER:- The sounds were well-formed. They did not jar the auditory senses.
THE MAESTRO :- These sheets of paper indicate a sound to be made. The maestro fed in the computer the corelation between the dots in the papers and the levers of the panel into the memory bank. It was as if he installed the Muse into metal and machinery.
He started with Beethoven as a test case. He installed all the fundamentals of musical notations in the computer memory book, the compact dish.
The Maestro retired for the night. The maestro fell asleep with a smile on his face. In between sense and sleep, his ears listened to the tunes. Someone was at the piano. It had the touch of a professional.
The computer had already begun to create sounds with the keyboard. A torrent of sound rippled from the keys spreading in the room reaching to his ears.
It was something the Maestro knew, had played himself over and over and again and again. His lips framed a silent 'O' as the sound rose and fell, half gay, half sad,a timeless melody- the Debussy- the immmortal Arabasque.
The music ebbed and flowed, changed mood and entered more solemn phases then, again a merry ripple, higher, ever higher; but at last with a descending scale, dissolving, vanishing dis-appearing slowly slowly slowly, far far away in the distant past.
In his half sleep he felt the music had resumed. This time a Chopin prelude, mournful and quite passionate. Chopin indeed waltzes in any key. It was saying the thousand things that It wanted to say but it can not say verbally. Within a few hours the music rack was empty. There was a pile of sheet-music on the Piano, which was empty and used. The copy of Beethoven's Appasionata lay closed on the desk.
In the morning, the Maestro was shocked to see the speed and strenth. He decided to call all conductors, concert-pianists, composers, managers- in short all the musical giants. There appeared an alert on the computer-screen.
"The computer has the option to reject any action which it considers harmful to the general public at large."
THE COMPUTER:- "These nobler art is not for a machine." -the computer inscribed. The computer can translate notes into sounds in a jiffy. But. Music is not for computer, to transform the sheets of musical papers into musical sound. It is for man. It is esay for the computer. It was not meant to be easy.
The computer rejected the data. Music is an art. All arts are meant to be testing, hard, and laborious. There is no end. It is immortal. This field too has no end. It is immortal.
The computer refused to interfere in areas in competition with Arts like music dancing painting etc. A.M.D.G.
